The MSFC are the ones responsible for our current stadium problems. In addition I believe they were supposed to build a parking facility for the stadium that never got built. Thier lease agreement combined with a sub-par stadium is the reason that the Vikings are 32nd in the league in local revenue. Can't we just get this done without them?

One other thing. Again we are talking about building a stadium that isn't "Grandiose". I submit to you that kind of thinking is why we are where we are right now. That is to say that it makes more sense to build something that will stand the test of time. I don't know why, as Minnesotans we always want to do everything on the cheap. Our new Gopher stadium is nice, but in comparison with other big programs it is a small venue. If we are to learn from history, then we should look at the Superdome in Louisiana. That stadium not only has stood the test of time but also gets a lot of business BECAUSE it is so nice. The Superdome draws the following:
1. College National Championship every four years.
2. 2 Collegiate bowl games EVERY YEAR. (Sugar Bowl, New Orleans bowl)
3. More Superbowls than any other venue. (they have it again in 2013)
4. The final four (regularly) and the regionals every year
5. The Bayou classic (thanksgiving day college game)

The thing was built in 1975 and anytime they make a bid for a major event, they ALWAYS make the short list.

My father always told me "Son, if your going to do something, do it right or don't do it."

If you want to hunt with the big dogs, you have to get off the porch.
