Has anybody come up with an idea of a "We want a stadium" chant just minutes before the game starts on Sunday. I think if we could get the dome rocking with that it would be hard to ignore. It's just a thought.

I LIVE NEAR ROCHESTER,MN AND I THINK THAT THE VIKINGS SHOULD LOOK INTO
A STADIUM OUTSIDE OF THE METRO AREA.
I THINK THAT WITH THE STRUGGLING ECONOMY THE RURAL SECTIONS OF MINNESOTA WOULD BEG FOR A STADIUM. IF FOR NOTHING ELSE..... THINK OF THE REVENUE THAT COULD BE GENERATED FOR THE RURAL AREAS!! A STADIUM IS NEEDED AND MINNEAPOLIS IS WHERE IT SHOULD BE,BUT..... BRING IT TO ROCHESTER, WE WILL TAKE IT AND IT WOULD BRING MORE FANS TO THE GAMES SINCE IT WOULD BE CLOSER TO ALL THE FANS IN IOWA AND CLOSER TO THE MANY WISCONSIN FANS IN LaCROSSE, MADISON, AND MILWAUKEE AREAS,AND THATS RIGHT, THERE ARE SOME VIKING FANS IN CHICAGO ALSO!!!
THE POLITICIANS NEED TO KNOW THAT THEY WERE VOTED IN AND THEY CAN CERTAINLY BE VOTED OUT!! ITS TIME TO DO WHAT THE CITIZENS OF MINNESOTA HAVE ASKED FOR, AND STOP THE POLICAL MADNESS!!
ANY QUESTIONS????? CALL ME AT 507-438-7781 OR E-MAIL ME AT jay@pyramidtrans.com,I HAVE NO PROBLEM SPEAKING UP!!!

I hope that we can get this done this year asap so that we can move on and keep the mn vikings right here in mn were they below. Look at the money that comes in here during a vikings game we also have to look at the jobs the new vikings home would bring in to mn lets do it mn the time is now

I got a response back within an hour from Representative Jim Davnie. Here's what it said...

Christian,

Thanks for the note. At present I do not see that a Vikings stadium will be a serious point of consideration this session. I'm sure much heat and noise will be generated about it however.

My position on stadiums is consistent; I'm neither for them nor against them on principle. Governments have been building stadiums since the Roman times. What is important in any use of public dollars is public benefit. In short what I evaluate is "the deal". If the Vikings are willing to contribute meaningfully and share the revenues equitably I am open; if they are only looking for a subsidy I hope Mr. Wilf will instead put his business savvy to work on generating an innovative stadium proposal without a public subsidy.

All the best,
