I wonder if anyone really believed this was a shovel ready project? Waiting until 2013 to break ground is a long wait for construction workers and their families!

First of all I would like to thank Cory for this website and keeping it current. Second, I would like to thank all the Vikings fans that showed up at our Capital to let their voices be heard. I was there on Monday and was so happy to see all my brother and sister Viking fans. Excellent turn out. Third, I would like to thank all the representatives that voted yes on the Viking stadium bill. Big thanks to Mark Dayton too. And don't forget the saying "We'll remember in November". All my representatives voted against the new Vikings stadium bill. I well remember this November. SKOL Vikings!

Hi Cory,

THANK YOU for all of your hard work on helping to preserve the tradition of Minnesota Vikings Football. I might not be from Minnesota or the United States, though it would be extremely cool to see a game at the new stadium in person. 2016 cannot come fast enough!

Nice picture in the Strib of our bunch in the senate gallery Cory. But why didn't you wear any purple? My girlfriend says it looks like you're posing as Capitan Morgan. heh :) Historic day to say the least. I thought it was touching that they thanked us fans for being there and supporting them through all of this. Maybe now I can finally get the Viking tattoo I've been putting off for so many years waiting for a decision. I think I'll get it the day the gold shovel goes into the ground. Thanks again Cory and all the fans who hung out at the capital over this past week. Tiring but fun.

My family and I have traveled 8.5 hrs to Vikes games since their inception. We all bleed purple. I currently live in Florida and would be devastated if they moved out of Minnesota. Please somehow, find a way to keep them where they belong.

Thanks in advance.

For the Republicans to use the Vikings Stadium as something to vote against just because their tax bill was vetoed is nothing but petty politics. Plain and simple. If the Republicans are serious about killing the Vikings Stadium bill over their tax bill that was vetoed, Vikings fans in Minnesota and around the world are going to be extremely angry. The stadium bill had better be passed in the House & Senate. The Vikings have been in Minnesota for 52 years and that is where they belong.

Unfortunately too many people in Minnesota think that we are giving money to a BIllionaire to build his stadium for his team. We are not giving Wilf money. He is giving us money to help us build OUR stadium where HIS team will play for at least 10 games and more if we make playoffs. Tell this Republicans that they should play politics with other issues and not this one. Pass it now and lets begin building our future and keeping a well-known commodity such as the Vikings in Minnesota forever.

Marty has been an anti stadium opponent his entire political career. Just a typical example of the BS liberal trash that infests the Minneapolis suburbs, but still all too typical of the voters there. He's a moron who will stop at nothing to prevent our team from moving.

If our politicians can not get along and work together to get things done... Then I say we FIRE all of them! Get an entire new group of politicians that are able to work together and get things done! I personally will not vote for another incumbent again if they can't get this done. This is jobs and income for the state.
